Music Program

Thursday nights are a fun time for both the Choir and the Chorus. David, Knox's Music Director, teaches free guitar lessons for youths, ages 7 to teens from 6 until 6:30 p.m.. Following the lessons, youths, ages 2 through teens, practise their music with David, and his wife, Anca, until 7:15 p.m. when sugarless munchies are provided. Children who are unable to attend Thursday night practice are welcome to join Sunday morning rehearsals at 9:30 if they wish to sing for the Worship Service.

While the Senior choir practices from 7:15 p.m. until 8:45, a supervised sports program is offered for ages 7 through teens. The music and sports programs offered at Knox are open to everyone, members and non-members alike. Whatever your age, musical skills or experience, you are invited to participate.

The Senior Choir and the Youth Chorus meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for a pre-service practice, and again this time is one of joyous participation. The youths accompany their enthusiastic voices with sound makers, keeping the beat to the uplifting songs. Both groups join together for songs on occasions in the Sanctuary, as well as acting in musical pageants and plays.
